Infinite Loop
Title: "Infinite Loop" (200 words)
Author: Jimbo
Fandom: 'S.W.A.T.'
Pairing: Gamble/Street (Jeremy Renner, Colin Farrell)
Date: September 2, 2005
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters -- just borrowing them for the fun of it.
Warnings: Slash, angst.
Notes: Written for Challenge #41 "Again" at slashthedrabble. An 'infinite loop motif' is the concept of the same content being repeated endlessly (kind of like my whole fascination with the Gamble/Street pairing).

He tasted blood. Confused, he turned slowly, already flinching, expecting pain.
Even in the dark, Jim Street could clearly make out the bright eyes and handsome face of his former partner, Brian Gamble. Had they been fighting? He was panting, and his tired arms shook from effort.
"Kiss me again, Jimmy. Just as hard as before."
No, not fighting. Fucking.
Finally.
They came together with force, noses, foreheads and chins colliding with damp expanses of skin. The salt on his lips was sweat, not blood; the sticky residue on his fingers was come, not grease.
As he reached for Gamble, he heard a strange high-pitched whimpering. "Wait," he said, holding Gamble at arm's length as the night swirled around them.
A disoriented Street sat up slowly, blinking back sleep. Fingering his swollen mouth, he realized he must have bitten his lip. For a moment a vague memory of different events prodded his consciousness -- brutal, unacceptable events. He groaned aloud, suddenly aware of the dog whining across the room. Shit. He had been dreaming.
"Wha?" said a muffled voice.
Street reached for the warm body next to him. "Jesus. For a minute I thought you were dead."
"Christ, Jimmy, not again!"
